The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s World Student Association will host its 25th annual Cultural Night on Saturday, April 5, in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room, showcasing food and cultures from around the world. This event is open to the community.
“I’m really excited about the upcoming Cultural Night and the festivities we have planned,” said Maëlle Rihouey, president of the World Student Association at UW-Superior. “The students’ performances, in particular, are always a highlight – they truly offer a chance to discover new talents and learn more about each other’s cultures.”
The event will begin with a social hour at 4:30 p.m., followed by the program at 5 p.m. Highlights of the evening include a live DJ, professional performances, a fashion show, student performances and a flag show.
“I’m especially looking forward to the flag show, and I believe the audience will enjoy all of the performances we have prepared,” said Rihouey, who is majoring in public leadership and changemaking with minors in communication and gender studies.
Tickets are available at the door (cash only) and are priced as follows: $15 for community members, $10 for non-UWS students, $10 for individuals aged 10 to 18, and free for children aged 9 and under. Cultural or business casual attire is preferred.
The Yellowjacket Union is located at 1605 Catlin Ave. in Superior.
