About

Having started at UW-Superior in 2008, Dr. Danz is a tenured Professor in Biology who has taught courses related to plants, ecology, and conservation.  After serving a term as Associate Dean, he was appointed Dean of Academic Affairs in 2019.  

In addition to serving on several committees and UW-Superior, Nick has served and provided expertise to a number of organizations and groups, including:

Nick enjoys spending time outdoors with a hoe or binoculars or wrench or a paddle in hand.  When indoors, he’ll likely have a basketball, cookbook or crossword puzzle nearby. 

Research Interests

Nick studies plants and natural communities of our region, focusing on human influence on Great Lakes coastal wetlands, dunes and forests.
