Isabella Lyste named to the ALL IN Student Voting Honor Roll
The University of Wisconsin-Superior has earned the Highly Established Action Plan Seal for the 2026 election cycle, receiving a perfect score of 36 out of 36 for its nonpartisan democratic engagement action plan.
The designation recognizes higher education institutions that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to civic learning and college student voter participation through comprehensive, nonpartisan planning. The university’s plan was evaluated using the Strengthening American Democracy Action Planning Guide rubric.
“Receiving the 2026 ALL IN Highly Established Action Plan Seal with a perfect score affirms UW-Superior’s deep, sustained commitment to civic learning, democratic engagement and student leadership,” said Katelyn Baumann, outreach program manager for UW-Superior’s Link Center. “This recognition reflects years of intentional work to ensure civic participation is embedded into our institution’s culture – not as a one-time initiative, but as a core institutional value.”
Baumann said UW-Superior was the only institution in the region and the only campus in the Universities of Wisconsin system to earn the distinction, underscoring the university’s leadership in civic engagement on both a regional and national level.
In recognition of UW-Superior’s efforts, Isabella Lyste, a student intern with the Link Center, was named to the ALL IN Student Voting Honor Roll.
“I feel so honored that I have been selected for the ALL IN Student Voting Honor Roll and for UW-Superior to have been awarded the Highly Established Action Plan Seal,” said Lyste, a history major with a minor in instruction set to graduate this spring. “Both of these awards validate our efforts toward making sure that students get registered, get educated, and get out to vote. I can’t wait to see our Action Plan in action next year as our team carries out various civic education and engagement initiatives.”
The award recognizes students from across the country who worked throughout 2025 to support their campuses in institutionalizing nonpartisan civic engagement and increasing college student voter participation.
“This recognition highlights the powerful role students play in leading civic engagement work within our institution and strengthens the impact of our institutional efforts,” Baumann said.
UW-Superior is one of 129 campuses nationwide to earn the Highly Established Action Plan Seal for the 2026 election cycle.
The seal reflects the university’s ongoing efforts to promote informed citizenship, civic responsibility and student engagement in the democratic process.
“This recognition reflects the collective impact of a variety of nonpartisan institution wide efforts, including voter registration and education initiatives, Civic Holiday programming, Constitution Day events, constructive dialogue opportunities, guest speakers and consistent collaboration with community partners,” Baumann said. “Our student interns have played a critical role in planning and delivering these efforts.”
