The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will present a duo recital featuring two of the masterworks of the violin and piano repertoire on Tuesday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. in Webb Recital Hall as part of its University Recital Series.

The recital will feature Erin Aldridge, UW-Superior professor of violin and viola and director of orchestra, and Alexander Sandor, UW-Superior senior lecturer of piano. Both are also members of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra with Aldridge serving as Concertmaster and Sandor as Principal Keyboard. The two have not given a recital together for more than two years.

Selections will include Beethoven’s Sonata No. 9 in A Major “Kreutzer” and Camille Saint-Saëns’ Sonata No. 1 in d minor.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door with cash, check or credit card. Webb Recital Hall is in Holden Fine and Applied Arts, 1805 Catlin Ave.
