Description: Join Allison French & Alison Wielgus in a book club discussing Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change, Changing Worlds by Adrienne Maree Brown. This book explores the concept of emergence, which emphasizes our connections with others and ourselves to create change in the world. We will be discussing this work in the context of higher education and will discuss the ways in which “emergent strategies” can be used for creating change within our classrooms, departments, and beyond. We invite faculty, instructors, and staff interested in discussing the intersection between higher education and social justice activism to join us!
