National Voter Education Week

Jackets Vote  a program of the Link Center, is inviting students to join us and celebrate National Voter Education Week (NVEW) Monday, October 5-Friday, October 9 every day from 12:00pm-2:00pm.

NVEW is a nationwide, nonpartisan initiative dedicated to helping voters gain the knowledge and confidence they need to successfully cast their ballots. NVEW is held annually during the first full week of October and focuses on bridging the gap between voter registration and voter participation. Throughout the week, students can access resources and information to help them:

·       Verify their voter registration status

·       Learn what’s on their ballot

·       Find their polling location

·       Understand voting options and election processes

·       Create a plan to vote

·       Encourage eligible friends and classmates to participate in the democratic process

National Voter Education Week empowers voters to overcome common barriers, make informed decisions, and become active participants in their communities. Whether you’re preparing to vote for the first time or are a seasoned voter, Jackets Vote is here to help you navigate the process and cast your ballot with confidence.
