DUTIES:

The School of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Superior invites applications for the faculty position of tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Business Analytics. The school is seeking individuals who will provide excellent undergraduate instruction, incorporate current techniques in teaching and research, and work collaboratively to strengthen the school’s business programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A PhD or DBA degree in the area of Business Analytics, Management Science, Business Statistics, or a closely related field. A graduate degree from a program accredited by AACSB. 
  • For the rank of Assistant Professor, an ABD in the mentioned areas will be considered, with an earned doctorate required before the appointment date.
  • For the rank of Associate Professor, applicants must additionally have the appropriate years of academic experience consistent with university policy and an established record of excellence in teaching and research.
  • Experience teaching business analytics or business courses at the college level.
  • Evidence of quality scholarship leading to regular publications and engagement in scholarly activities in relevant professional societies and public outreach.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with faculty/staff and students from various cultures and backgrounds.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in curriculum development and course development.
  • Experience or interest in teaching in a blended/online environment.
  • Proficiency in analytic software/tools in database management, data mining, data visualization, programming, simulation, e.g. Excel, R, SQL, MS Power BI, Tableau, Python, etc.
  • Experience utilizing technology in instruction. 
  • Experience or interest in engaging business community.
  • A proven track record of scholarly accomplishments or a well-developed research agenda
  • Strong written, organizational, and communication skills 
  • Commitment to balance excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and demonstrated effective teamwork skills.

Salary range for this position is: $90,000 – $110,000 annually.  Specific benefit information can be found here. A snap-shot of benefits offered for this position include:
