The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host the 23rd annual Student Film and Video Showcase at 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, in the Manion Theatre. The event is free and open to the public.
The showcase will feature 12 short films produced by UW-Superior students during the 2025–26 academic year. The lineup includes several capstone projects created by communication and media studies majors and highlights a range of storytelling styles, genres and techniques.
“The showcase is an annual celebration and exhibition of the best student films and videos created each year in the Department of Communication, Media and Theatre,” said Brent Notbohm, professor of film and video and chair of the department.
The full program will be announced Wednesday, May 13.
Community members, students and families are invited to attend and support emerging filmmakers while enjoying an evening of original student work.
Manion Theater is in the Holden Fine Arts Center at 1805 Catlin Ave. in Superior.
