Program Overview
The international business program is one of the five concentration options for the business administration major. Studying international business will help you understand how business is done in different cultures and areas of the world. It is an excellent choice for those interested in careers with companies and organizations that operate at a global level. Our curriculum has been developed by experienced faculty and in consultation with an advisory council composed of local business leaders who share their expertise and connections to identify and secure opportunities for students.
Some students choose to enhance their education by studying abroad for a semester which is highly recommended in this concentration.
What You’ll Learn
Develop the global perspective and business skills needed to succeed in an increasingly connected economy. You’ll explore how culture, economics and international markets influence the way organizations operate around the world.
You’ll gain practical skills in:

- Importing, exporting and trade processes
- International supply chains and logistics
- Global marketing and business operations
Through coursework, simulations, study abroad opportunities and applied learning experiences, you’ll gain practical knowledge of how businesses operate across borders and prepare for careers with global companies, nonprofit organizations and international organizations.
My time in UW-Superior’s business program has been an informative journey. The hands-on learning is what I came for and Academic Service-Learning opportunities, simulations and tours made my experience very rewarding.
