The Computer Science Major – Cybersecurity Concentration at UW–Superior is designed to prepare students for careers in one of the fastest-growing and highest-demand fields in the world. Offered on campus and fully onlineevery course is available in both formats—giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for your schedule and learning style. 

This innovative program combines strong computer science fundamentals with specialized cybersecurity training, including hands-on attack and defense scenarios, real-world problem solving, and experiential learning opportunities. While not yet formally certified, the curriculum was built to align with the expectations of the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (CAE), ensuring graduates are prepared to meet industry and government standards.

Scholarship Opportunities

Eligible students can apply for the Swenson Family Trust Scholarship, which covers: 

  • Full tuition
  • $1,000 annual stipend for books and fees 

Awarded to approximately ten qualified first-year students with financial need pursuing degrees in computer science, mathematics, biology, environmental science, and/or chemistry.
