Election Hero Day

Jackets Vote  a program of the Link Center, is inviting students to join us for Election Hero Day* on Wednesday, October 21 from 12:00pm-2:00pm in the Yellowjacket Union.  

Election Hero Day is a nonpartisan national celebration recognizing the election officials, poll workers, clerks, and election staff who help ensure safe, secure, and accessible elections for all voters.

Election Hero Day is an opportunity to learn more about the dedicated individuals who work behind the scenes to support the democratic process. From processing voter registrations and managing polling locations to assisting voters and counting ballots, election heroes play a vital role in helping communities participate in elections with confidence.

Join Jackets Vote in recognizing and thanking the election workers in our communities whose commitment and service help make democracy possible. Students are encouraged to learn about election administration, explore opportunities to serve as poll workers, and show appreciation for the people who ensure every eligible voter has the opportunity to cast their ballot successfully.

By celebrating Election Hero Day, we acknowledge the hard work of those who keep our elections running smoothly and strengthen civic participation in our communities.

*Nationally, Election Hero Day is celebrated on Tuesday, October 20; however, UW-Superiors students are on Fall Break.
